The Los Angeles Times has named Marques Harper its new fashion editor.

Harper will lead the Times’ fashion coverage emphasizing how Southern California style impacts the rest of the fashion world, the Times announced.
Since February, Harper has served as interim fashion editor at the Times where he oversaw the Images section and wrote standout pieces such as Olivia Pope adding color to her wardrobe, Prince using fashion to explore his sexuality, Nancy Reagan’s legacy as a fashion icon and the connection between Beyonce’s “Lemonade” and Gucci.
Before working at the Times, the Rutgers graduate worked at the Austin American-Statesman,Tribune Content Solutions and Mackelson Media.
