Martine Powers, previously transportation reporter for Politico, will now become transportation reporter for The Washington Post.
Powers, a former Fullbright Fellow who studied the transit and road network in her native Trinidad & Tobago, also covered transportation for The Boston Globe.
“Her clip file contains a great mix of accountability reporting, consumer-oriented news-you-can-use stories and fascinating tales from the T and the Mass Pike,” according to the Post’s public relations blog. “For a while, she anchored The Globe’s Starts and Stops blog and has a multimedia background.”
Powers graduated from Yale University with a degree in African American Studies.
